I love teaching!
I am a terminally curious, highly optimistic educator who works very hard to come along side teachers in their quest to serve their intended purpose--motivating students to want to learn. I am inspired by the uniqueness of individual teaching styles and have an innovative perspective on capturing what is trying to be communicated in a learning setting.
I have been teaching since I was very young. It was my passion through grade school and what I pursued in college. I've never lost that passion. I have taught every grade level, from pre-school youngsters to doctoral candidates. I am currently teaching critical thinking skills to nursing students. Drawing upon my years of experience as a classroom teacher lends itself quite well to my work as a freelance consultant.
I have a current California State CLEAR/CLAD teaching credential; an MA in Education with a focus on English as a Second Language; and a PhD in Education with a focus on Professional Development. I listen carefully to help create what you need to obtain a successful learning community. A blend of creative vision, excellent classroom management skills, and a genuine teacher's heart are words my clients often use to describe my work.
My goal is to help you be successful in reaching even the most challenging students with whom you work. Allow me to encourage and help you utilize the best teaching strategies available that represent your organizational and teaching style.
Teaching is something that I love and enjoy, with experience from ABC to PhD. Contact me today!
